A neighborhood of San Jose, the county seat of Santa Clara County, Silver Creek Valley, California, is a smaller master-planned community in the Evergreen Valley neighborhood. It lies just south of the San Francisco Bay area, near the Pacific Ocean and in the heart of the high-tech Silicon Valley area. Most Silver Creek Valley homes are constructed in the style of the Tuscan region of Italy, with terra cotta walls and light stucco. Silver Creek Valley real estate refers mostly to the home inside the gated villa at the Silver Creek Valley Country Club.
The homes inside the gated community offer residents a quiet enclave from which to escape the hustle and bustle of the valley. It offers easy access to highways 101 and 85. The golf course within the club has 18 holes and has played host to qualifying rounds for tournaments like the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, California State Amateur, and USGA Mid-Am. The course is also one of just a handful in California designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for its commendable preservation of the environment. The community opened in 1992, and more than 1,500 families have moved in since then.
Children are zoned to the Evergreen Elementary School District and the East Side Union High School District, with the award-winning Silver Oak Elementary just a short walk away from the community. The community has plenty of family-friendly amenities, with a child-care center, golf, tennis, karate and swim lessons, six lighted tennis courts, and an upscale fitness center with two swimming pools, massage rooms and group exercise classes. The swimming complex features a 25-meter family pool, a separate pool for toddlers, and a private pool with a spa for adults only. The community features many events for residents to enjoy throughout the year, from a Halloween costume party to jazz concert picnics, and a New Year’s Eve gala to Easter and Mother’s Day brunches.
Silver Creek Valley is just southeast of downtown San Jose, south of the Eastridge Mall and just west of the large Joseph D. Grant County Park. Public transportation can be easily accessed, as the community is only about a mile east of the Capitol Caltrain station. Hospitals, cultural venues and higher education institutions can all be found in San Jose, which is also home to its own international airport. Other nearby large commercial airports are in San Francisco and Oakland, giving residents here many options for flying.
