Saratoga

More million dollar plus homes were sold in Saratoga in 1999 than in any other city in California: 241 vs. 139 sold in 1998
Saratoga real estate is essentially built out, one reason for the high prices. There are 10,764 residential units: 9,648 single-family, 483 attached and 628 multiples. This is strictly a family community.
Saratoga is a quiet town with little industry. Located on the edge of the Valley, it scrupulously maintains its low-profile image. The downtown is nice with many first-class restaurants.
The commute is not bad. The city borders or is near to the job centers of Cupertino, Sunnyvale, San Jose and Santa Clara.
Schools rank high. Performing art and recreational events and facilities are numerous. Has a good local community college.
