Mountain View

Mountain View homes are outnumbered 2-1 by apartments. Makes this city young and single. There are 32,987 total units: 9,127 single-family, 4,048 attached, 18,623 multiple units and 1,189 mobile homes.
For all of that, housing is pretty pricey. (See table below.) Home prices in the valley are increasing so much that even the older, 50s & 60s houses are showing big increases in value.
Mountain View is home to a lot of high-tech companies that employ 70,000 people in the city. Makes for a lot of restaurants. At last count there were over fifty.
The downtown has been renovated and is a nice place to hang-out. The light-rail line from San Jose is scheduled to be completed shortly. Lots of activities, especially, this being California, outdoors stuff: parks, pools, golf course, tennis, boating, etc.
